You've got 1 minute and 15 seconds to score as many points as possible, but fall 3 times and your turn is over.
Use the control keys to gain momentum. The bigger the jump, the better the points. Perform turns and handplants to gain even more points.

Controls:
Press the Action key (Navigation Centre / 5) to start your boarder off. To gain speed, press Navigation Key UP / 2 when travelling up the pipe, or Navigation Key DOWN / 8 when travelling down.
To perform a turn, use Navigation Key RIGHT / 6 whilst on the left side of the screen, or Navigation Key LEFT / 4 whilst on the right. Don't perform your turns early or too late, or you're likely to fall!
Use the Action key when near the top of the ramp to perform a handplant.
When performing turns or handplants, keep the key pressed during the stunt to gain more points, but be sure to release it before the stunt is finished to avoid a fall.
After a fall, use the Action key to get yourself started again. The footbag is like juggling with your feet: positioning and timing are the key to great scores. You have 1 minute and 15 seconds in which to keep the ball in the air whilst performing tricks by hitting the ball with your feet or head.
Position yourself wisely and time your kicks correctly to build up big points with some cool tricks, like the Jester or the Horseshoe. Perform a good variety of tricks for bonus points.

Controls:
Press the Action key (Navigation Centre / 5) to begin the event. Press the Action key whilst the ball is above your head to perform a head butt. Pressing the Action key when the ball is lower performs various kicks - depending on your character's position.
Use Navigation Key LEFT / 4 to move your player left, and Navigation Key RIGHT / 6 to move him right.
Press Navigation Key DOWN / 8 to turn your player around 180 degrees.
If the ball lands on the ground, just position your feet near it and press the Action key to get going again. But hurry, the clock is ticking! The surf is up and it's time to ride those tubes! With only 1 minute 30 seconds to impress the judges with your skill and bravery, you've got to master those waves.
The judges are looking for a variety of skills in this event. Do a jump off the top of the wave, but make sure to land at the correct angle: the mirror image of your launch angle.
Ride under the wave - some judges will love you for it. Don't stay under there too long though, or you'll lose your balance.
The judges also like 360 degree turns in the sea, but make sure you're far enough away from the wave to make the full turn. Don't go too far ahead of the wave though, or the judges might think you're a wimp!
The judges frown heavily on falling off the board and will deduct big points, but you've really got to show courage out there to get the big scores!

Controls:
Press the Action key (Navigation Centre / 5) to begin surfing. Use Navigation Key LEFT / 4 to rotate the board counter-clockwise, and Navigation Key RIGHT / 6 to rotate it clockwise.
Pick up speed by riding down the wave to get away from the wave, or to gain momentum for a gnarly jump.
If you do fall from the board use the Action key to get going again.tTake in the Californian sunset as you skate along, but watch out for the obstacles which litter the sidewalk. Gain points by skating past the litter, and earn extra points by jumping over or spinning past it. Get to the end of the sidewalk in double quick time to earn valuable bonus points.

Controls:
Start by pressing Navigation Key UP / 2 to move your skater's left leg, and Navigation Key DOWN / 8 to move her right leg. Get a steady rhythm going and you'll really start picking up speed. By keeping the key pressed you can also move your skater up or down the pavement.
Press Navigation Key LEFT / 4 to perform a spin when on the ground or in the air, but make sure you've got enough time to perform a jumping spin or you'll take a tumble!
Pressing the Action key will make your skater jump in the air - useful for avoiding that annoying litter and increasing your points tally.W3 laps of this hilly course are all that stand between you and greatness. Keep up your speed by pedalling, and do jumps and crazy tricks off the top of those hills. Avoid the debris that litters the course, because falling 3 times ends your BMX experience.
Complete the course quickly to earn a great time bonus.

Controls:
Press Navigation Key RIGHT / 6 to pedal your bike. Keep pressing to build up speed so you can do some wild jumps.
Use Navigation Key UP / 2 to move up the course, or Navigation Key DOWN / 8 to move down it. This will help you keep out of the way of the debris.
Press the Action key (Navigation Centre / 5) to do a jump. If you do it on a hill you can get some big jumps going and try out a trick.
Whilst you're jumping you can try a variety of tricks, but be careful, some are harder than others. The easiest to perform is a table top. Press Navigation Key UP / 2 whilst in the air to do one. Keep the key pressed to do a longer tabletop and earn more points, but remember to release it before you come crashing back down to earth!
The next trick is a 360 degree spin. Press Navigation Key DOWN / 8 whilst jumping to do this spectacular move.
If you're really brave, try a backwards somersault by pressing Navigation Key LEFT / 4. This takes time to perform, so be careful!
For the real crazy riders there's always the forward somersault. Pressing Navigation Key RIGHT / 6 will start this move off, but you'd better hope you've got plenty of time in the air to land it properly!
Of course the more difficult the jump the better the score, and getting real height will also improve the points earned.qYou've got 3 throws to prove your disc skills, but make them all count if you want to challenge the world records. Throw the disc and then try to catch it for big points. A simple running right catch will earn you some points, but why not try a casual standing still catch or even a diving catch for big points? Diving left and catching the disc is the ultimate skill.
You also earn points for the distance you throw the disc, so try and set your speed and angle at the optimum position to get great distances.

Controls:
Press the Action key (Navigation Centre / 5) to start your speed marker moving. Try to stop the marker in the green speed zone with another press of the Action key. Now watch as the second marker moves towards the angle zone. To get great distances, try to stop the angle marker in the green part of the angle zone.
Once you've set the speed and angle, there's no time to relax as the disc is launched towards your catcher. Move the catcher left and right using the Navigation Keys / 4 and 6 keys, whilst keeping an eye on her position and that of the disc in the radar view at the top of the screen.
If you want to try to perform a diving catch press the Action key, but make sure you time it right as you can't get up and try again this throw!
Try to judge the position of your catcher's hands when either running or diving so that she can grab the disc out of the air. There are 5 options available from the Game menu: 3 Competition modes, Practice mode, and View Records.

The View Records option allows you to view the best scores that have been achieved on this handset. You can also view the personal records for each stored profile (see below) by pressing the LEFT and RIGHT navigation keys or 4 and 6 to cycle through the profiles.

In Practice mode you can choose to practice any event, but any points scored will not count towards the records for that event.

Competition modes require player profiles to be created so that California Games can keep track of players' best scores. Once you've created a profile, the game will store the player's details and any records scored in this and any future sessions of California Games.

After choosing one of the three competition modes, you'll be taken to the player select screen. Here you can highlight any player profiles already created to compete in this game. You can also delete an existing player profile, or if there are less than 3 profiles stored you can create a new one.

To highlight a player, use the UP and DOWN navigation keys or 2 and 8 to navigate, and press the Action key (Navigation Centre/5) to highlight. Competing players are highlighted in yellow and non-competitors are highlighted in grey. At least one player must be highlighted to let the games commence.

To create a new player profile, select the Create Player button. This will take you to a new screen where you can enter a name and choose a sponsor.

To enter a name, use the UP and DOWN navigation keys or 2 and 8 to change the letters, and LEFT and RIGHT navigation keys or 4 and 6 to change which letter you would like to edit. When you're happy with the name, press the Action key. Use the LEFT and RIGHT navigation keys or 4 and 6 to choose a sponsor, and press the Action key to return to the player select screen where the new profile will now be available.

To delete a player profile, select the Delete Player button. You'll be taken to a screen where you can remove any unwanted profiles.

Once you've created and highlighted the players you want to compete in the game, move on by selecting the Done button.

If you chose "Compete in all events", you'll be taken straight to the skate park for the Half Pipe.

If you chose "Compete in some events", you'll be taken to the event select screen where you can highlight the events you wish to play, using the same controls as for the player select screen. Select Done when you've highlighted all the events you want to take part in.

If you chose "Compete in one event", you will also get the event select screen. Just select the event you want to play and you'll be taken straight to that event.

During a competition, each player takes it in turn to play the event. You will be shown which player's turn it is before they start. After all players have taken turns, the results screen is displayed.
Points are awarded to players who finish with the top 3 scores. 5 points are awarded for coming 1st, 3 points for 2nd place and 1 point for 3rd. If you play more than one event the points accumulate through each event, and a final results screen will be shown after all events have been played.$Press Navigation Centre / 5 to beginUse UP and DOWN to skatePress RIGHT / 6 to pedalcRegister with Mforma
