Your goal is to finish the Tour wearing the yellow jersey ranked first in the overall standings. To do this you have to win the most possible stages of the 21-stage Tour. \ \During each stage you control the rider using the virtual pedals: \ - On flats or descents, press 5 or OK to accelerate and 8 or down to slow down. \ - On hills, press 1 and 3 alternately when they appear. \Throughout the game, you must control your rider's level of effort and energy. \ \The effort gauge gives you the following information: \ - In the green: your rider is making little effort and is recovering energy. \ - In the yellow: your rider is producing optimal effort, he will get tired but his effort will allow him to be competitive, to overtake other riders, ride paceline ... \ - In the red: your rider is accelerating or sprinting with a high level of effort. In this zone his energy level will decrease rapidly. \It's up to you to control your rider's speed and effort level to achieve the best performance. \ \The energy gauge will go down throughout the stage depending on your rider's effort.\To get energy back, lower your speed and put the effort gauge in the green, hug a wheel of another rider (symbolised by a green and white picture) or wait for a refuelling zone (indicated by blue arrows on the road). \When going downhill, ride on the correct side of the road (marked by the yellow arrows on the road) so that you don't lose speed. \ \On the overview of the stage at the top of the screen, you are represented by the red line, the leading group and the breakaway riders by black lines. \ \The overview gives you other information: \ - The white number on the red background indicates the climb difficulty (HC,1,2,3,4: from most difficult to easiest). \Points counting towards best climber standings are awarded for the first riders to finish each difficulty. \ - The white S on green background indicates sprints: the first riders to finish each of these crossing points (indicated by a "Sprint" banner in the road) receive points counting towards the best sprinter standings. \ - The white R on blue background indicates the refuelling points: ride on the right side of the road to refuel.
Moving the cursor: Point your stylus to the right and left of the rider to move him. Controlling speed: place your stylus on the pedals and turn clockwise to accelerate. Turn anti-clockwise to slow down. When your rider is pedalling out of the saddle, the pedals are seen from above. Point your stylus alternatively to the left and right of the pedals at a regular rate.
